Individuals or organisations may self-nominate or nominate an organisation they have worked with in the twelve-month period from 1 December 2020 – 30 November 2021.

Important note: Each category has 5 criteria that your entry will be judged and scored on. Please ensure you respond to each point in the citation and use the supporting documents for further information to back up your citation.

2022 Awards Categories 

This award is not open to entries but is decided by the Editor of Access All Areas to recognise outstanding achievements within and contributions to the outdoor events industry over a career. The recipient is someone who has pioneered, innovated and driven change in the industry.

This category recognises companies that have delivered an event in exceptional ways, from start to finish, to improve the experience at an event, whether on stage, for safety purposes, during the build-up or to immerse the audience in the theme of the event. Judges will be looking for innovation in creativity and approach, understanding of the target market, a clear health and safety plan, working within a set budget and how the event was produced against clear and specific objectives.

This category is for AV production companies and will be won by the company that can demonstrate how they have delivered an event on stage through expert AV production. Judges will be looking for innovation in creativity and approach, how technology has been used to enhance the production, understanding of the target market, how they have delivered a better attendee experience and how the event was produced against clear and specific objectives

An award that recognises the importance of providing professional, trained, and quality crews whatever the event or budget. Judges will be looking for diversity in types of crew offered, ability to cater for different event types and scales, evidence of well trained crews, how the crewing company meets clients’ briefs and key USPs that the provider offers both staff and clients.

This category is for suppliers of catering services who have gone above and beyond. Whether food and/or drink, we want to hear how you have delivered outstanding catering to an event and audience. Judges will be looking for evidence of diversity and innovation in the catering on offer, the ability to cater for different types and sizes of events, understanding of the event’s audience, a sustainable service and how the offering has augmented the attendee’s experience.

Open to providers of power to events. Judges will be looking for the company that has shown innovation and creativity in approach, an increased sustainability service, excellent customer service, how they have worked with organisers to improve costs and expertise in its core business area.

Open to all suppliers of toilets and hygiene services. Judges will be looking for how you have worked with organisers to improve their facilities, innovated your product range, developed your sustainable elements, augmented the attendee experience and delivered against clear and specific objectives.

For companies providing crowd safety, control and management products. Judges will be looking for innovation and product development, evidence of enhancing the safety of events, diversity of types and sizes of events supplied to, how the supplier has enhanced the overall event experience and how it has delivered against clear and specific objectives.

For companies who have delivered stages and settings for events. Judges will be looking for innovation and creativity in approach, spectacular and visual theming, how the staging has augmented the attendee experience, positive crowd management and safety etiquette and working to clear and specific objectives.

This category covers buildings, seating and grandstand areas as well as other structures build for event infrastructure. Judges will consider the different types of events catered for, diversity in types of structures supplied, innovation and creativity in approach, sustainability approaches and how the company is working to clear and specific objectives.

This category is to recognise the venue or event space that has delivered the best environment for event organisers and attendees. Judges will be looking at the variety of events catered for, innovations in the organiser and customer experience, sustainability measures, how the venue or space has worked to improve the attendee experience and how the venue is working to clear and specific objectives.

Open to any event, venue or supplier that puts sustainability at the core of its ethos. Judges will be looking for key evidence of how sustainability has positively impacted the business and its clients or attendees, what targets have been set and how these have been achieved, positive commercial results and how the model is being carried forwards for the future

Open to event organisers and technology providers – the winner will be the event and tech provider employed. Judges will be looking at how the technology has enhanced the event overall, as well as the attendee experience, how the technology was used against clear and specific objectives, innovations and enhancements in the technology used and any demonstrable sustainability benefits

This category is for any company providing ticketing services to promoters and event organisers of any type of event. Judges will be looking for evidence of excellent customer service, a smooth and transparent user experience, how technology has improved the offering, clear and fair pricing structures and how the provider has worked to clear and specific objectives

This category is open for event organisers, production teams and AV suppliers who can demonstrate visual effectiveness and impact on an event. Judges will be looking for innovation and creativity in approach, how the spectacular has been woven into the overall event, how the spectacular enhanced the attendee experience, evidence of ‘wow’ factor and how the spectacular has performed against clear and specific objectives.

Open to agencies and their clients who have actioned brand activations during the period. Judges will be looking for innovation and creativity in approach, how the activation has delivered against clear and specific objectives, understanding of the target market, how the activation engaged with the audience and post-activation research that demonstrates its success.

This award recognises and rewards the team behind a successful event. Judges will be looking for evidence of expertise in all areas of event production, clear health and safety plans and initiatives, how the agency has worked to and delivered against set budgets, innovation and creativity in approach and how they have ensured positive audience experiences.

This award is to recognise the event of the year, mostly focused on music, which has truly delivered for its audience. Judges will be looking for evidence of how the event understands its target market, how the event delivered a positive attendee experience, the breadth and range of performers, how the event was run in a secure and safe manner and its commercial success.

This award is to recognise the event of the year, mostly focused on sport, which has truly delivered for its audience. Judges will be looking for evidence of how the event understands its target market, how the event delivered a positive attendee experience, innovation and creativity in delivery, how the event was run in a secure and safe manner and its commercial success.

This category is for teams that own and promote an event(s). Judges will be looking for how the promoter has delivered events with innovation and creativity, clearly understood the needs of its audience, created new experiences at their events, delivered events against clear and specific objectives and strong commercial performances.
